Adobe Suite deployment packages now resolved on macOS Catalina

datajar.mobi Creative Cloud

Introduction

In a previous post, we outlined the challenges faced when trying to deploy Adobe software and macOS Catalina (10.15).

Last week, a little more than seven months since the launch of Apple’s latest OS, Adobe has released updates to their package creation tools. These updates resolve the issues we had previously encountered – it is now possible to deploy Adobe packages on macOS Catalina at the login window.

For our customers

Since the new packaging tools released into the Adobe Admin console towards the end of last week, we have worked to create more than 35 new installer packages with the fix embedded, put them through our internal testing and loaded them into our Auto-Update system.

If you are a datajar.mobi customer, we can now offer to automatically deploy and/or patch Adobe titles on macOS Catalina (10.15) as we have done for older macOS versions. Please reach out to our support team if you are interested.

For our fellow techies

If you have found yourself suffering with the same issues we have, you will need to recreate any Adobe CC 2019 or Adobe 2020 packages you created before Friday 22nd May 2020. Once recreated, upload them into your deployment system of choice and run through a final test before a wider rollout.
