MacADUK 2019 – A review
This year the Mac Admin and Developer Conference (MacADUK) had a slight revamp. For the past three years, the conference was solely run by Amsys, but in 2018 dataJAR joined forces with them to help curate the event and act in an advisory role. Our very own James Ridsdale was appointed Conference Director.
MacADUK 2019 was launched on the opening morning by James to a room of around 250 people from different technology backgrounds. With a new venue, a fresh approach and amazing content and speakers, including dataJAR’s technical director, Ben Toms, the conference was off to a flying start.
Ben covered Modern Deployment Workflows for Education, while Armin Briegel from Pro Warehouse lead with an enterprise focused presentation. Ben took the audience though the internals of Apple School Manager and also talked about the latest features, such as Microsoft Azure Federated Apple IDs.
There were some great presentations from all the speakers spanning the length and breadth of the Apple community.
The final session of the conference featured a live MacAdmins Podcast episode, hosted by the delightful Tom Bridge, and included Ben Toms, Graham Gilbert and creator of Jamf Connect, Joel Rennich. They talked all things Apple, bringing the event to a triumphant close.
