Google has released an update to patch a critical security vulnerability in Chrome

Ben TomsDeployment, Maintenance, Security Announcement

This was patched in version 86.0.4240.111.

If you are on our Managed Service platform, this update has been tested and released to all customers with immediate effect, leveraging our Auto-Update framework.

To expedite the rollout of this patch, we have reset the usual weekly patch cycle so all macOS devices that are powered on with an active network connection, should receive this patch within the next one to two hours. If you have Chrome open while the patch is downloaded, you will be prompted to log out to install this as normal.

If you are an Auto-Update for Jamf customer, this update is available to you too.

If you have any problems, concerns or questions, please let us know.
